Save money. Save the planet. Over the last ten years SMC have participated in many ground-breaking studies on energy consumption. We've taken detailed measurements of consumption across many different subsystems on a number of projects – large and small – and created simple user choices so the user can take advantage of the installed systems.
An energy dashboard can be offered in all installations with a touchpanel. In fact our programming can make huge differences in simple ways.
For example, on projects with air conditioning, automated blinds and lighting control we can raise the blinds when good daylight is available, and dim the internal lighting. Or when there is direct sunlight, and glare is an issue, we can lower the blinds (reducing the solar glare) and at the same time set back the air conditioning. Joined-up thinking.
