This project demanded a system that could manage the scope of integration between all the subsystems from lighting, window treatments, AV, security and environmental management, all controllable by a simple user interface.

The lighting design demanded a flexible lighting control system incorporating both the control of natural and artificial light. Lutron Homeworks QS provides the primary control of all lighting and Lutron Sivoia QS the control of automated blinds and curtains throughout the property. Each window has been fitted with up to 3 levels of treatments including automated sheers for privacy, automated blackout blinds to eliminate light and automated curtains to fulfil the interior design vision. Roman blind systems were used in hallways for their design element.

Crestron is used to control the systems across the property. It can be accessed via the bespoke user interface using in-wall touchscreens, tablets or smartphones, and can also be accessed from outside the property via the iOS app. The Lutron lighting system is integrated with Crestron and can be controlled using the SeeTouch keypads, and touchscreen devices.

Throughout the property there are 32 custom finished Lutron SeeTouch keypads providing control of both lighting and window treatments. All keypads were customised to match the antique bronze AV and power sockets.

Given the unique architecture of the property the biggest challenge of this installation was the coordination of the multiple window treatments and the recesses/voids/channels necessary within the spaces available. We also had to take into consideration the placement of the window treatments in relation to the security measures such as viper vibration sensors on the windows and PIRs.
