THE PROJECTS

BEST MEDIA ROOM

For this project we selected the best-in-class technology to meet the clients ‘best quality cinema’ brief. Fine audio from Steinway Lyngdorf was chosen for its reliable, bespoke, high-performance, compact and upgradeable features. The front projection screen and motorisation provided a top-quality customisable solution, particularly helpful given the tricky space and aspect ratio requirements. Lutron control of curtains and blinds provided a silent solution with tailored options for differing levels of blackout and curved curtains for double-height openings (See Window Treatments). Crestron integration provided control from an iPad delivering a fully-flexible solution with content selection and simple operation of other key systems including video entry, temperature, lighting control etc.

BEST INTEGRATED HOME

The initial design brief for this project was to update our client’s family home of 20 years with integrated, modern, connected technology. Having previously used home control systems in the property our client had high expectations. Their familiarity with the systems meant that they knew what they wanted – all of the previous functionality, improved with the most up to date systems but with a vastly simplified, intuitive user experience. And something that worked reliably every time they use it, unlike the previous installation. The equipment itself needed to be hidden as far as possible or to be discreetly coordinated with the interior and exterior decor. The existing wiring infrastructure was to be reused wherever possible to reduce the risk of damage to the specialist venetian plaster wall finishes throughout the property.
