A remarkable, very contemporary, unique building located in Kuwait city. In this project SMC had to overcome some challenging issues with this contemporary glass and concrete villa in Kuwait. The client required abundant natural light alongside careful heat control: as temperatures can reach 46 degrees centigrade.
The blinds, some of which have 8m drops, automatically close with the movement of the sun. The systems are designed to be extremely robust, with fail-safe systems, back-up generation and extensive remote diagnostics and repairs. The client can access advanced settings, from anywhere in the world, while the family has their own simplified user interface.
